Paint dry from yesterday, I got straight to work with the painted parts starting with the harmonic balancer. I had ordered the installing bolt for it, which after I re-checked Amazon was ordered for my engine in my truck specifically, but actually only fits an LS1 style crank. So I did something horrific (at least if you are a thrust bearing). I used the BFH to get the balancer on far enough to where the bolt would not strip as I cranked it down the rest of the way. I got the pulley bolts torqued to spec but not the harmonic balancer bolt, i got it to about 40 lbs before the damn engine started turning. So I move on to setting up the valves. There is a process and method to this and again after reviewing the video I saw what i needed to do. Again I grabbed the paint pen to make sure I didn’t forget anything. I followed the process of cranking down the nut till the lifter could spin but would not wobble. Then one 180ยบ turn to pre-load the lifter and pretty soon I was done.

Things are moving quickly and parts are getting installed left and right. But life is life and rarely are we in charge of everything we have to do. The AC has stopped running in the house and I need to fix it before the house becomes unbearable in this South Texas Oven. So I shall replace my sockets for a shop vac and a new A/C filter and hope it resolves the issue.
