I have a history with this little gem. Back a LONG time ago I offered to change the clutch on it as a favor to a neighbor. Little did I know that step one of replacing the clutch in an MGB is to remove the engine. I made the most of it and had a rather enjoyable time of the job while teaching the neighbors 14 year old son the basics of engines, cars and mechanics. He has since taken this to the next level by heading off to med school where he will learn slightly more intricate and important systems and repair processes.

Fast forward to about a year ago the neighbor offered to sell me said vehicle for a very reasonable price and I agreed. I bought it for Yvonne (so then she could also experience broken cars), she loves it. As one of the last years with wire wheels, knockoffs and chrome bumpers, I am very pleased while still trying to look over the very 70’s shade of yellow-mustardish factory non-rust inhibiting paint.

Maggie as purchased from the previous owner.

Maggie, as she named the car has spent the past few (10) months in the garage waiting for some TLC. The only known issue is a very leaky brake master cylinder. But after looking through the Moss catalog, it was obvious we could not pass up doing some minor cosmetic details and bring a little more newness back into the old girl.
