Bare metal rusts. This engine was originally black, which as far as I know if just a good way to hide oil leaks. Chevy red is actually orange so I will just throw all tradition out the window and paint the damn thing Toolbox Red or more specifically Tractor Red as defined by Rustoleum. No rattle can here. I am going to wipe the block down with lacquer thinner and brush on this paint with a cheap foam brush. Quality with a K. It’s hard to argue since the quart cost about the same price as a single 12oz spray can.
So Since I didn’t take any pictures and I am experimenting with this cheap action camera enjoy this 3 minute stop motion of the cam test fitting and block painting. The quality is kinda crap but don’t worry so is the content 😉
